My New Clothing Haul: Fall Edition #2

My New Clothing Haul: Fall Edition #2

It is getting colder outside, and we are slowly heading into the winter. My new fall clothing haul is a mix of mostly lightweight transitional clothing that will help you to look stylish and at the same time make you feel comfortable.

But don’t forget to apply the basics of layering by mixing lightweight and heavy clothing to keep ourselves warm during the fall and winter. This time I bought a pair of a Met winter shorts. If you are tired of wearing jeans and pants, why not replace them with stylish winter shorts?

Contrary to what many people believe, shorts can be stylish and warm. Winter shorts are everywhere this season and now is a perfect time to get yourself a pair. They will definitely make you stand out this winter.

These shorts came in a gorgeous violet, and if you like to match sets, consider getting yourself a violet blazer as well.

I also got myself a pair of Twin Set jersey brown pants, as these are super handy to have in your collection. These loose-fitting style pants with side pockets and slim fit design are perfect for fall transitional dressing.

As the winter season is at our doors, it usually comes with a limited palette of colors, with blacks, grays and whites mixed in. Personally I find this selection of colors a bit dull to my liking, as I prefer to add in some color. So, I bought a dark red Bordeaux velvet shirt by Krizia Poi.

Even though red has been in fashion for decades, I think that this season it’s all about Bordeaux red and velvet.

This braided leather bracelet came as a surprise gift. Made of black & white leather, this leather wrist bracelet is set to celebrate and honor my relationship with a dear friend.

When Sporty Meets Chic Elegance

When Sporty Meets Chic Elegance

Let’s talk about the combination of the elegant and sporty styles. But first, a short introduction of who I am. After the few initial articles about the timeless wisdom advices by notable women, why women love shoes and a autumnal long lasting fragrance it’s time to share with you my very first look. I am excited to post these pictures and introduce myself to my readers.

For a long time I’ve been following my favorite fashion blogs, reading through them daily. I always wanted to create something myself and I’ve finally decided to start my own blog. My name is Aurora Berill and I’ve launched Elegance of Luxury, my little creative corner, with the idea to share my stylish outfit inspirations, beauty advice and guides on a variety of topics. You can find more information about me in my About section.

The sporty meets chic elegant style is one of the latest trends, sometimes tricky and challenging to combine but when you manage to pull it off it looks great! If you want to create a somewhat formal feeling then try to stick with a natural subdued color scheme, in this case I went with a monochromatic silver beige. Beige is a light and neutral color that describes pale and light brown shades, one of my favorite colors lately. When it comes to combining different garments it’s all about balance. Here I am combining pieces of similar colors and I don’t play much with high contrasts.

The Sisley basic half button tee and Calliope linen shorts are all beige and fit perfectly with my Chanel silver stud logo earrings. I add in some contrast with the H&M sunnies and black studded leather bag, but not too much. Adding to the sporty look I wear Kappa low top sneakers, which fit perfectly with my initial idea to create a perfect modern minimalist outfit for contemporary women. To complete the look I went with a straw hat with removable brown leather strap and added a splash of color with the turquoise necklace.

During the summer, try to pay attention to the materials used in your clothes. It’s better to stick with light natural fibers like cotton and linen. Synthetics won’t breath well during the hot days and that can lead to rashes. Have you ever tried combining stylish with sporty looks?
